Bailey Miller

Bailey Miller is a senior at Bronson Jr/Sr High School and enrolled in Health Science Academy Program.  Her OJT placement is a Nurse Assistant on Med/Surg floor at Promedica Regional Hospital under the supervision of Cherie Hooker.  As a Nurse Assistant, Bailey is responsible for answering patient call lights, checking and charting patient vital signs, helping patients with daily activities, assisting with some medical procedures and transporting patients.

Bailey believes her OJT training has helped her understand the medical field. She has gained so much knowledge and experience from her placement, and that has helped her make her decision to her pathway for her lifelong career. Her favorite part about her OJT job is interacting with patients. She feels that taking care of those who cannot take care of themselves is very rewarding. According to Bailey, “Making a patient feel better and putting a smile on their face when discharging is a great sense of pride!”

Bailey’s future plans are to attend college at IPFW for a year and then transfer to Purdue University to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.  Ultimately, she plans to work as a Registered Nurse at Cameron or Parkview Hospital. At the Branch Area Careers Center, Bailey is a member of the National Technical Honor Society. She is a two-year member of HOSA-Future Healthcare Professionals.  She participated at HOSA State Leadership for the past two years. At Bronson High School, she participates in National Honor Society which includes being a role model and school and community service hours.  In her spare time, Bailey enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and attending school games. Bailey is the daughter of Joshua and Amanda Miller.
