Braydon Watkins

Braydon Watkins is a Coldwater High School senior enrolled in the BACC’s Computer and Networking Technology program. Braydon’s OJT employer is Quincy Community Schools as an Information Technology Technician under the direction of Andrew Craig. Braydon is responsible for repairing Chromebooks, repairing screens on portable devices, assisting with networking wires, assisting with multi-media needs, and assisting with any IT project. Braydon’s favorite part of his OJT job is the satisfaction he feels for helping repair broken equipment and knowing he has done a good job. He also enjoys all of his friendly co-workers. Braydon’s feels his OJT position has given him valuable hands-on experience and helped him make connections within the IT career field.

At the Branch Area Careers Center, Braydon is a member of Business Professionals of America (BPA). Last year, he was a member of the State of Michigan BPA Champion Network Design Team. He plans to compete again this year in the PC Servicing and Computer Networking contests. In his spare time, Braydon enjoys hanging out with his friends. Braydon’s future plans are to continue his career in the Information Technology field. He is not sure if he will be pursuing a college degree, but he will work full time in the industry. Braydon is the son of Patricia and Mike Watkins.
