Carter Collins

Carter Collins is a senior at Coldwater High School and enrolled in Health Science Specialties Program. His OJT placement is a Phlebotomist at Promedica Regional Hospital under the supervision of Nicole Arbogast. As a Phlebotomist, Carter is responsible for drawing blood, interacting with patients, tracking and labelling specimens, and running diagnostics on specimens.
Carter believes his OJT training has given him valuable experience in patient care. All of the experience will assist him in his graduate school program. His favorite part about the OJT job is knowing that he is playing an integral part in a patient’s care. Carter’s future plans are to attend Grand Valley State University to obtain a degree in Kinesiology and pursue a career as a physical therapist. At the Branch Area Careers Center, Carter is a member of the National Technical Honor Society. He is the Chapter President of HOSA-Future Healthcare Professionals. He participated at HOSA Regional Leadership and qualified to attend the State Leadership Conference. At Coldwater High School, Carter is a member of the wrestling team. In his spare time, Carter enjoys lifting weights, wrestling, Jiu Jitsu and spending quality time with his friends. Carter is the son of Corey Collins and Sarah Collins.
