Craig Tappenden

Craig Tappenden is a senior from Bronson High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center’s Welding Engineering Technology program. His On-The-Job-Training placement with Cox Performance Racing as a welder under the supervision of Darrel Cox.
Craig’s job duties include measuring, welding, cutting material and fabricating parts for performance engines and other components. He says his OJT job has really helped him by improving his GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding) skills. Craig’s favorite part of the job includes gaining valuable work experience in a successful company while still in high school.
At Bronson High School, Craig is a member of the Varsity Football and Wrestling teams. He recently placed at the MHSAA State Wrestling tournament. At the Branch Area Careers Center, he is a member of Skills USA where he is competing at the Regional and State levels. After high school, Craig plans on becoming an Army Ranger and also enjoy a career as a welder. In his spare time, Craig enjoys hunting and fishing. Craig is the son of Aaron and Tara Tappenden.
