Education Academy Earns Awards at FCCLA State Conference

MIDLAND – The 72nd annual Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Leadership Conference was held March 21-23, 2018 in Midland, MI. Students competed in STAR Events to showcase their teaching, speaking, and leadership skills as well as attended professional workshops. At the banquet students earning FCCLA’s most prestigious award, Power Of One, were recognized. In addition, the BACC Education Academy Program, under the direction of Mrs. Karen Sobeske, earned several club awards including: “Five Star Chapter” award, “Community Service” gold level, “Gimme Five! Membership Campaign” award, and the highly competitive “FCCLA Level Up Award.” Individual and team awards were presented as the conference concluded on Friday.
