Grant Carter

Grant Carter is a senior at Quincy High School and enrolled in Business, Management & Marketing Technologies Program at the BACC. His OJT placement is a Waiter and Food Preparer at The Goodie Shop under the supervision of Veronica Carter.
Grant believes his OJT training has helped him feel comfortable talking to customers. He has also learned how to work in a busy environment under the pressure of customer’s watching. Grant is responsible for waiting on customers, cooking, preparing food, washing dishes and cleaning. His favorite part about his job is getting to meet new people and creating relationships with regular customers.
At Quincy High School, Grant is a member of the Golf and Basketball teams. At the Branch Area Careers Center, Grant is a member of Business Professionals of America (BPA). Last year, Grant’s Global Marketing Team placed 1st at BPA Locals and 2nd at BPA Regionals. He went on to compete at the Michigan BPA State Leadership Conference. He also formed a Photography business for his Young Mogul project. Grant is undecided in his future plans. He hopes to either become the next owner of the Goodie Shop or branch off into a trade. In his spare time, Grant enjoys fishing, golf, and basketball. Grant is the son of Jason Carter and Veronica Carter.
