Hunter Modert

Hunter Modert is a senior from Bronson Jr./Sr. High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center’s Automotive Technologies program. His On-The-Job-Training placement is a Tire and Lube Technician with Coldwater Auto Service under the supervision John and Jeannie Crews. Hunter is responsible for completing oil changes, mounting and balancing tires, checking tires for leaks or wear, assist with brake jobs, clean and maintain the shop, and any other shop duties needing completed. He says his OJT job has given him a broad experience because he works on new cars and vintage cars. He also values the real world experience. Hunter’s favorite part of his job is working on a variety of automobiles and trucks. At the Branch Area Careers Center, Hunter is a member of Skills USA. He has competed at the local level and regional level in Maintenance and Light Repair. He plans to compete again this school year.
Hunter’s future plans are to work full time after graduation and pursue more automotive certifications. He is planning to establish a career as an Automotive Technician or in Parts or Sales. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, playing video games, troubleshooting vehicle issues and fixing them. Hunter is the son of Mathias Modert and Angela Modert.
