Idalia Hernandez is a senior from Bronson Jr/Sr High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center’s Business, Management, and Marketing Technology program. Her On-the-Job Training placement is with the Branch Area Careers Center’s images, Etc. small business under the direction of Kelly Spray and Brittany Wisman. As the images Manager, Idalia’s job duties include designing graphic logos and embroidery images, running the embroidery machine, applying vinyl to material, taking and editing the photos of BACC students and staff, creating promotional displays, using the sublimation machine to create promotional items. Her favorite part of her OJT job is taking pictures, making shirts, learning the new machines and the overall job experience. Idalia feels her OJT training has helped her become a better problem solver and worker. Idalia is a member of Business Professionals of America (BPA) at the BACC. Last year, she successfully competed in the Small Business Management Team at BPA Locals and Regionals. This year, Idalia placed first in Fundamental Word Processing at BPA Locals and she will continue to compete at BPA Regionals in January. She is also a member of the BACC’s National Technical Honor Society. At Bronson High School, Idalia is a member of the two time State of Michigan Champion Varsity Bowling team. She was named Academic All-Conference both years as well. Idalia has won many honors and awards over her high School bowling career. In her spare time, Idalia likes to hang out with friends and family and go bowling. After high school, Idalia plans to attend college and bowl on the collegiate level. She will be pursuing a degree in Business Management. Idalia is the daughter of Norma Cuellar.
