Kameron Barrow

Kameron Barrow is a senior from Coldwater High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center’s Environmental & Agri-Science program. His On-The-Job-Training placement is a Soil Fertility Trainee with B&M Crop Consulting under the supervision of Bill and Missy Bauer. Kameron is responsible for soil sampling in the Fall and Spring seasons. He also scouts fields, assists with plot research including population counts, ear and plant counts, pulling tissue samples, and scouting fields. He also assists with planting and harvesting. Kameron’s favorite part of his job is the hands-on training working side-by-side with some of the best people in the industry. He feels his OJT training has helped him find his future career pathway and helped him develop a professional attitude at work. Kameron’s future plans are to continue his internship at B& M while attending Kellogg Community College and then transferring to Michigan State University to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Plant and Soil Science. Ultimately, he would like to obtain his Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) license for the State of Michigan and continue his career at B&M. At the BACC, Kameron is the FFA chapter Treasurer. He has earned his FFA Greenhand, Outstanding Junior, Chapter, State and Academic Excellence degrees. He is a state finalist in the FFA Agricultural Star Placement contest that will be held this March at MSU. He is also a member of the BACC’s National Technical Honor Society. In his spare time, he enjoys farming, working on machinery, hanging out with friends, riding quads and snowmobiles, hunting and fishing, and boat cruising. Kameron is the son of Dawn Rowe and Jesse Barrow.
