Kevin Lowder

Kevin Lowder is a senior at Coldwater High School and attends the Electrical & Automation Engineering Technologies Program at the Branch Area Careers Center. He is the son of Scott and Karen Lowder. Kevin has an On-the-Job Training placement as an Apprentice Electrician at Alliance Electric, under the direction of Scott Lowder. His responsibilities include running wire, setting up boxes, inventory maintenance, servicing generators and clean up.

Kevin feels his OJT training has helped him learn more about his trade and complete his tasks faster. He gets real life experiences and has honed his skills and learned new ways to perform his job. His favorite part about his job is getting the experience he needs to be successful in his career. Kevin is a member of the BACC Skills USA chapter. This year he won first place at Skills USA Locals, Regionals, and State in the Residential Wiring contest. He will be competing at the Skills USA National Championships in June. Ultimately, Kevin is planning a successful career as a Master Electrician and owning and operating his own company. Kevin’s hobbies include hunting.
