Lucas Farris

Lucas Farris is a senior from Quincy High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center’s Automotive Technologies program. His On-The-Job-Training placement is a Diesel Technician with Stoops Freightliner under the supervision of Austin Fassett. Lucas diagnoses diesel trucks, works on brake systems, electrical systems, dismantles engines and solves ABS faults. He says his OJT job has given him the skills he needs to pursue his career in the diesel truck industry. Lucas’s favorite part of his job is being able to learn new things and work on equipment. Lucas’s future plans are to continue working at Stoops Freightliner attend the Freightliner Technician program.

At the BACC, Lucas is a Skills USA member and he is competing in the Skills Regional contest in the Automotive Overall category this spring. In his spare time, he enjoys working on trucks, riding his 4-wheeler, dirt bike, snowmobile, jet ski and spending time with his friends and family. Lucas is the son of Deb Betts and Jeff Farris.
