Macey Ward

Macey Ward is a senior attending Quincy High School and is enrolled in the Health Science Medical Certifications program at the Branch Area Careers Center.  Macey is employed through the On-The-Job Training program at Family Medical Clinic as a Medical Assistant. Her supervisor is Barbra Kramer.  Her job duties include taking patient vital signs, placing patients in rooms, charting, and running tests.

Macey feels her OJT placement has helped her by giving her career a competitive edge in the medical field while still in high school.  Macey feels the best part of her OJT training is the relationships she has formed with the staff and all that she has learned at the clinic. She is a member of HOSA-Future Health Professionals at the BACC. Macey has participated for two-years in HOSA-Future Health Professionals. This year she competed and won first place at HOSA Regionals in CPR/First Aid. At Quincy High School, Macey participates in Varsity Club.

Her plan after graduation is to complete Kellogg Community College’s thirteenth year program and then transfer to Western Michigan University. After college, she plans to get married and start a family. In her spare time, Macey enjoys watching movies, assembling puzzles and spending time with family and friends. Macey is the daughter of Ryan Ward and Holly Ward.
