Nicholas Gates

Nicholas Gates is a senior from Bronson High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center’s Health Science Medical Certifications program.  His On-The-Job-Training placement is with Bronson City Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician under the direction of Suchit Shah.  Nicholas’s job duties include counting pills and filling prescriptions, handling patient and insurance phone calls, making customer profiles, cashing out customers at the register, and inventory. He says his OJT job has really helped him solidify his pharmacy skills because he has learned and memorized so much and that will help him work efficiently and earn his certification.  Making and receiving phone calls from customers and doctor’s offices are his favorite parts of the job.  Nicholas’s future plans are to attend college and pursue a degree in Biology.

At the BACC, Nicholas is a member of the HOSA-Future Health Professionals. At Bronson High School, Nicholas participates in track and field, tennis, theater, and band. In his spare time, he enjoys making and playing music, watching movies, hunting, off-roading, and working on the farm.  Nicholas is the son of Jerry and Laurali Gates.
