Nick Weber
Nick Weber is a senior from Quincy High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center’s Welding Engineering Technology program. His On-The-Job-Training placement is as a line welder with LaGrange Products under the supervision of John Dodson. Nick’s job duties include measuring, sealing and welding parts for pressure vessels. He says his OJT job has really helped him learn more about the trade. It is helping him improve his work ethic and preparing him for life after high school. Nick’s favorite part of the job is gaining experience and making money while still going to high school. Nick plans to attend diesel tech school in Lima, Ohio after he graduates from high school. He is planning a career in diesel repair. At Quincy High School, Nick is a member of the Varsity Wrestling and Soccer teams. At the Branch Area Careers Center, he is a member of Skills USA and is the student representative of the Welding Engineering Technology Advisory Board. In Skills USA, he placed second in local competition and third in regional competition in the Stick Welding contest. In his spare time, Nick enjoys making money and hanging out with his friends and family. Nick is the son of David Weber and Lauren Sarnicki.
