Phoenix Haviland

Phoenix Haviland is a senior at Bronson Jr/Sr High School and attends the Electrical and Automation Engineering Technologies program at the Branch Area Careers Center. He is the son of Tommy and Charity Haviland. Phoenix has an On-the-Job Training placement as a HVAC Technician at Shamrock Heating and Cooling, under the direction of Ken McKinley. His responsibilities include inspection of air conditioning and furnace units, installation of new units, and maintenance on air conditioning and furnace units.

Phoenix feels his OJT training has taught him better communication skills. He feels he can talk to customers a lot easier than before he started his job. His favorite part about his OJT job is meeting new people every day. At Bronson Jr/Sr High School, Phoenix is a member of the Cross Country, Bowling and Baseball teams.

Phoenix’s hobbies include weight lifting and being with his friends. In the future, Phoenix hopes to attend HVAC school and get certified in his field. He plans to have a successful career in the HVAC field.
