Roberto Ruiz

Roberto Ruiz is a senior from Coldwater High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center’s Autobody and Custom Paint program. His On-The-Job-Training placement is as a painter’s assistant with Royal Chevrolet under the supervision of Christopher Walker. Roberto’s job duties include removing damaged parts from vehicles, preparing parts for painting, mixing paint, painting parts, and washing and buffing cars.

He says his OJT job has really helped him by teaching him how to paint and he has developed good employability skills for his future. Roberto’s favorite part of the job is getting to do what he enjoys most; prepping vehicles and parts and then painting them. Roberto plans to move to Oklahoma after graduation. He is undecided as to whether he will continue painting vehicles or work at his family’s company building pools. In his spare time, Roberto enjoys long boarding, working on his car, walking his dogs and spending time with his family. Roberto is the son of San Juana Patlan.
