Rodrigo Barajas Ruiz

Rodrigo Barajas Ruiz is a senior from Bronson Jr/Sr High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center’s Welding Engineering Technology program. His On-The-Job-Training placement is with LaGrange Products. Rodrigo is a line welder under the supervision of John Dodson. Rodrigo’s job duties include measuring, sealing, fitting, head press and welding parts for pressure vessels. He says his OJT job has really helped him improve his welding skills, and find ways to perform his job faster. Rodrigo’s favorite part of the job is stacking beads and making his welds look nice. Rodrigo plans to attend trade school or join the sheet metal union. He hopes to apprentice in a sheet metal shop for 3 – 5 years and then establish his own rig and weld all over the world. At the Branch Area Careers Center, he is a member of Skills USA. In his spare time, Rodrigo enjoys playing soccer, spending money on his truck, and family time. Rodrigo is the son of Rodolfo Barajas and Lucia Ruiz.
