Sydney Alatorre

Sydney Alatorre is a senior at Coldwater High School and enrolled in the Business, Management & Marketing Technologies Program at the BACC. Her OJT placement is the images, Etc. Manager at the Branch Area Careers Center under the supervision of Kelly Spray. As Manager, Sydney operates the laser engraver, embroidery machine, and heat press to complete customer orders. She designs images for customers and creates posters for the BACC display cases. She also assists students with Mogul projects. Sydney believes her OJT training has helped her be more innovative especially when solving problems. Her favorite part about her OJT job is designing embroidery patterns for customer projects.
At the Branch Area Careers Center, Sydney is a two-year member of Business Professionals of America (BPA). She competed and placed second at BPA Regionals in the Job Interview contest. She participated at the BPA State Leadership Conference. She is a member of the BACC’s National Technical Honor Society. At Coldwater High School, Sydney is the Baking Club President, a member of Art Club, ASTRA, Culture Club and National Honor Society. She is also d on the Principal’s List for Academics.
Sydney’s future plans are to attend Kellogg Community College to pursue a degree in science. She hopes to volunteer more and follow through with the completion of the Beech House Community Center. She also plans to travel to Spain and do the entire Camino de Santiago. Sydney enjoys baking, volunteering, reading and spending time with her friends in her spare time. Sydney is the daughter of Juan Alatorre and Myriam Armenta.
