Sydney Gallop

Sydney Gallop is a senior attending Coldwater High School and is enrolled in the Health Science Specialty program at the Branch Area Careers Center. Sydney is employed through the On-The-Job Training program at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital as a Medical Assistant. Her supervisor is Sarah Zebolsky. Her job duties include obtaining patient vital signs, rooming patients and assisting the physicians in procedures. Sydney feels her OJT placement has helped her work independently and learn the dynamics of a healthcare practice. Her favorite task to perform is drawing blood from patients. She is a member of HOSA-Future Health Professionals and the National Technical Honor Society at the BACC. Sydney has served as HOSA Secretary and this year she competed and won second place at HOSA Regional Leadership Conference which qualified her for the State competition. She was also named Student of the Marking Period and the Outstanding Senior from the Health Sciences Department at the BACC. At Coldwater High School, Sydney participates in student council, Interact, NTHS, Captain of Varsity Gymnastics and indoor soccer. Her plan after graduation is to attend the University of Michigan and pursue a degree in the health care field. In her spare time, Sydney enjoys yoga and Pilates. Sydney is the daughter of Janice and Mike Gallop.
