Branch Area Careers Center and Bronson Jr.\/Sr. High School Senior, Hunter Trine, was named Exchange Club Student of the Quarter at a recent club presentation.<\/p>\n
Hunter has been a cadet teacher in Tot Spot Community Preschool for the 2017-2018 school year. He has been a tremendous asset to the program. Hunter helps implement lesson plans, reads stories and leads music time with the preschool children. Hunter is adored by the Tot Spot students and is a great role model. He has served as a mentor to an eighth grade student and goes above and beyond to help out his classmates.<\/p>\n
After graduation Hunter plans to attend Trine University with the goal of teaching in an elementary school and eventually going on to become a guidance counselor.\u00a0 He is involved in track and cross country as well as Youth in Government at BHS.\u00a0 At BACC he has been a Gold and Silver Medal Officer in the FCCLA (Family Careers Community Leaders of America) Youth Club and a Laurie Stewart Student Leadership Program Assistant.<\/p>\n
Hunter Trine started with the Make a Wish foundation 5 years ago, alongside a few of his family members. Today, he is the only family member to continue this 300 mile bike ride raising money for children with terminal illnesses. He has raised over $6,000 for the Wish A Mile campaign and doesn\u2019t plan to stop there! \u201cI have met so many great people that I now consider friends! This ride allows me to help put a smile on children\u2019s faces. I have learned not to complain about my little problems in life. Riding a bike for 300 miles is really hard but not as hard as fighting Cancer! Every year it breaks my heart to see so many sick kids\u2026but it makes me want to keep riding! I really want to start a cycling club with Trine! It\u2019d be great to have a Trine Team at the MAW events!!\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
