Elijah Stayner is a Burr Oak senior and a student in the Computer Networking Technologies program at the Branch Area Careers Center.\u00a0 Elijah is a Help Desk Technician at Infinisource in Coldwater under the supervision of Trevor Kokinis. \u00a0Elijah\u2019s duties include computer system setups, completing Help desk tickets, imaging machines, and general information technology maintenance.\u00a0 Elijah believes his OJT training has helped him determine what the real workplace is like outside of the classroom. He feels it is preparing him for both communication and technical skills. \u00a0His future plans are to enter the Air Force. His favorite part about OJT is to earn money while doing what he enjoys and establishing a solid foundation for his career.<\/p>\n
Elijah is a two-year member of the BACC\u2019s Business Professionals of America club. \u00a0At the Regional Leadership Conference, Elijah placed first in Computer Security and 2nd<\/sup> in Computer Network Technology. These awards qualify him to compete at the State Leadership Conference in March.\u00a0 At Burr Oak High School, Elijah is class President; he is a member of the football, bowling, golf and e-sports teams.
