Conner Overholt is a senior at Coldwater High School and attends the Electrical Technologies Program at the Branch Area Careers Center.\u00a0 He is the son of Coy and Jodi Overholt.\u00a0 Conner has an On-the-Job Training placement as an Apprentice Electrician at Alliance Electric, under the direction of Luke Croad and Scott Lowder. His responsibilities include running wire, setting up boxes, trimming out residential electrical areas, trouble shooting and clean up.<\/p>\n
Conner feels his OJT training has helped him prepare for his future.\u00a0 He gets real life experiences and has honed his skills and learned new ways to perform his job.\u00a0 His favorite part about his job is running wire.\u00a0 Conner is a member of the BACC Skills USA chapter. Last year he won first place at Skills USA Locals and Regionals in the Residential Wiring contest. Ultimately, Conner is planning a successful career as a Master Electrician. He hopes to continue to study Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC\u2019s) and Industrial Wiring. \u00a0Conner\u2019s hobbies include working on his truck, playing cards and spending time with friends.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
