Creo Smith is a senior from Bronson Jr.\/Sr. High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center\u2019s Environmental & Agri-Science program.\u00a0 His On-The-Job-Training placement is a Farm Hand with VanVorst Farms under the supervision Jim and Bob VanVorst.\u00a0 Creo chisel plows, picks rocks, maintains equipment, discs and assists with field preparation for spring planting. He will assist with irrigation and cultivation during the growing cycle, and other duties on the farm.\u00a0 He says his OJT job has taught him how to manage his time and be responsible.\u00a0 Creo\u2019s favorite part of his job is doing something different every day and working with big tractors and great equipment.\u00a0 Creo\u2019s future plans are to work full time at VanVorst Farms after graduation. \u00a0Eventually, he plans on buying a house and settling in the area.<\/p>\n
At the BACC, Creo is an FFA member and has earned his Greenhand, Chapter and Discovery degrees. He has served as Chapter Vice-President this year.\u00a0 In his spare time, he enjoys farming at home and working with cattle.
