Craig Tappenden is a senior from Bronson High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center\u2019s Welding Engineering Technology program.\u00a0 His On-The-Job-Training placement with Cox Performance Racing as a welder under the supervision of Darrel Cox.<\/p>\n
Craig\u2019s job duties include measuring, welding, cutting material and fabricating parts for performance engines and other components.\u00a0 He says his OJT job has really helped him by improving his GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding) skills. \u00a0Craig\u2019s favorite part of the job includes gaining valuable work experience in a successful company while still in high school.<\/p>\n
At Bronson High School, Craig is a member of the Varsity Football and Wrestling teams. He recently placed at the MHSAA State Wrestling tournament. At the Branch Area Careers Center, he is a member of Skills USA where he is competing at the Regional and State levels. After high school, Craig plans on becoming an Army Ranger and also enjoy a career as a welder.
