Sam Abobaker is a senior from Coldwater High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center\u2019s Business Management, Marketing & Technology program. He is a Cashier as part of the On-The-Job-Training (OJT) program with Walmart under the supervision of Jenica Baker. Sam\u2019s job duties include customer service, stocking, cash, credit and other point of sale functions and assisting co-workers. He says his OJT job has really helped him get comfortable about opening up and talking to customers. His favorite parts of the job are his co-workers and the overall environment. At the BACC, Sam is a member of Business Professionals of America (BPA). Sam and his team won awards at BPA Locals and Regionals and competed at the State Leadership Conference. As a junior, Sam won first place in both Prepared Speech and Unboxing Video at BPA Locals and Regionals. This allowed him to compete at the State Leadership Conference as a junior. Following graduation, Sam plans on attending Kellogg Community College to become a dental hygienist. In his spare time, Sam plays basketball, soccer, football and hangs out with his friends and family. Sam also serves as a translator at local schools.
