Taylor West

Taylor West is a senior at Coldwater High School and enrolled in Business, Management &
Marketing Technologies Program. Her OJT placement is a Receptionist at Rainbow Motor Sales
under the supervision of Michele Streets and Melissa Hanna. As Receptionist, Taylor is
responsible for greeting customers, answering phone calls, assisting with closing paperwork, and
assisting with office decoration and maintenance.
Taylor believes her OJT training has helped her improve her customer service and talking with
people on the phone. Her favorite part about her OJT job is the great people that she works
with. She believes that the staff pushes each other to stay motivated and are always very kind.
Taylor’s future plans are to attend Central Michigan University to study Finance and Business.
After college, she plans on becoming a financial advisor at Edward Jones. Taylor enjoys being
outdoors, camping, hanging out with her dogs and spending time with her family in her spare
time.
At the Branch Area Careers Center, Taylor is a two-year member of Business Professionals of
America (BPA). She competed at the local, Regional and State Leadership Conference in the
Fundamentals of Spreadsheets and Presentation Team events. She also won the Ambassador
Torch award and competed at the BPA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California.
Taylor competed in the BACC Young Mogul contest with her B & T Engraving business. Taylor is
the daughter of Darlene and BJ West.
